The Queen has called the Guild of Merchant Explorers to travel the realm and to update the maps of the realm. Merchants set up trade routes between towns, visit discovery towers and discover newly set-up villages. In four eras, you explore your map and thereby earn coins. Each era has a stack of exploration cards with each card representing a turn. All play simultaneously and place the scouts on their map according to the survey card, always adjacent to villages, capital or other scouts. Eventual special actions off the map are resolved immediately. For the next era, you remove all scouts from your map, but leave villages, trade posts, treasure markers and discovery towers in place. Exploration cards are entering play when era cards are revealed. When a survey action meets the requirements of a goal card, you put one of your scouts on the card. You can meet each goal only once by a player.
