Tokaido Duo

 

On a board, representing the island of Shikoku, there are eight areas, separated by trade routes. You control three characters – Pilgrim on the path around the edge of the island, Trader on the trade routes in the midst of the island, and Artist moving from area to area outside the paths. Three dice are rolled, and player alternate choosing a die, one turn player A-B-A select a die for the corresponding character, next turn B-A-B select their dice. An artist can paint or give away a painting, pilgrim and trader move and resolve the action of the reached location. The game ends if someone arrives at the end of their garden or temple track, or lays out the 6^th gold tile, or gives away the 10^th painting tile; you win at the end of the round with most points from faith, trade, and culture points.
