Astragale

 

Collection of dice game, based on ancient games, using repliques of the bone dice. Pentelitha is a dexterity game, amended by a self-invented rule and a variant from France. Bestas is the current Turkish version of this Five-Stone game, which is played in eight stages. Artiasmos is a guessing game on numbers of astragals in a fist. When used in dice games, astragals are assigned four sides, worth varying numbers of points; variants stated are Meistwurfspiel, the Spielregel des Kaiser Augustus, Pleistobolina - a Greek variant, and again a self-invented special rule.
