Taverna

 

St. Averna’s Day in Averna - a holiday celebrated in the taverns. As a host, you want to make profit and raise your esteem by meeting the Court’s demands and being on good terms with the four peoples of the realm. You buy two property deeds and then play 8/6 rounds in case of 2/3-4 players. For a round, you take a customer card + token and then place one of your tokens at a free table in a tavern; if table and token have the same color, your esteem rises on the peoples scale and you might earn a bonus. Symbols on the chosen card give additional effects, e.g. Cheating or bonuses or acquiring spells. A dignitary in the tavern can be used, you can cast a spell once per turn, can sell spells and use royal favor tokens. At the end you score unused spells and favor tokens and then, in the Royal Scoring, select one of five scoring options and then finally score the people tracks.
