Die Kolonisten Ante Portas
The settlement is barely founded, and already it must be defended against a horde of invaders or a bunch of fire-breathing dragons; the dragon scenario is the more challenging one. You use the core game, with changes in the rules for the half year: At the beginning, new attackers are introduced; in a game of three there are only two turns per player and half year, and at the end there is a combat phase, in winter before the end-of-year. Actions on the battle field can only be done in line-of-sight. After one or two epochs, there is a combat phase Final Wave over several rounds, until all attackers are defeated, or the game is lost, because the attackers broke through the defense lines. Can also be played competitively by 2 or 4 players, in the variants Capture the Flag or Area Control.
