Treasure hunting with words - in Piratenfreches Mau Mau, you discard cards by placing suitable words, depending on the level of difficulty first letters or vowels must correspond, or last letters and vowels; special cards correspond to those in Mau Mau - draw cards, change of direction, pass turn and wish cards. Several variants are listed, e.g. Piratenstarkes Trio: You prepare a deck of cards, deal them and then ask other players for cards with a certain first letter; you receive corresponding cards and lay down triplets with the same first letter.
