The Great Zimbabwe
Developing a trade-based civilization in ancient Africa, based on the old kingdoms around “Great Zimbabwe”, a historical site of ancient monuments. In the game, you want to build the most impressive monuments for a god of your choice, each of them needs other actions for winning. Building the monuments is based on the setting-up of a logistics network which is used to produce and acquire ritual goods. In Phase I, you bid with cattle for turn order; in Phase II, you have one move in turn - select one god or specialist, use a specialist anytime during the move, construct a new monument OR place craftsman for technology, resources or victory points OR improve monument. Then, in Phase III, payments and income are resolved simultaneously for all players. In Phase IV, you check for a winner - if you reach or top 20 alone, you win immediately. If several players pass 20 at the end of a round, the winner is the player with the highest surplus over 20.
