CAPITOL
Rivalry in
old Rome for the most spectacular buildings and the dominance in the roman
prefectures. Who uses the 90 blocks and 40 roofs best, will win. There are four
rounds to a game. Each round has a building phase, an auction phase, a scoring
phase and a card drawing phase. In the building phase players decide on height
of the buildings and build them at the side of the plan, if they have the
necessary permit, they can build on the board. A building is finished when it
has a roof, first roof in a prefecture determines the shape of all other roofs.
A new building in a prefecture must be as high or one floor higher than
buildings already there. In the auction phase players can auction for temples,
wells and amphitheatres, they earn extra points. In scoring the number of
pieces used in a prefecture counts, not the number of buildings. Scored points
are marked with a column for each player, very graphic and very nice.
