A Fool’s Fortune

55 cards in sets of 11 cards, called Fortunes, and 22 characters - all 77 cards are unique and you collect three sets of Fortunes to win. You play three so-called acts; each act is a stand-alone version of the game with special strategies. The rules of an act are based on the previous act and expand them. Fortunes are deemed to be aligned, if they correspond in either Realm = color or Resource = symbol. A set featuring all five possible cards is closed, sets with three and four cards are open. Characters are recruited with pairs of Fortunes, and you can use character abilities. The game for three is a version which can be played in any of the three acts.
