Swords and Bagpipes
Scottish War of Independence 1296-1328; Scotland must win and you want to earn as much money as you can. Rounds comprise seven phases: Invasion - Reveal and resolve top card of English Crest stack. Action - Any number of actions from three options - Supply with taxes, militia, troops or hiring mercenaries; troop movement, bagpipe cards. Badge of Honor - Give Badge to new starting player of your choice. Choice - Choose side; the starting player must choose Scotland. Battle - the stronger army wins, in case of a tie Scotland. Awards - Gold and one unit for the castle for Scotland supporters, one card from the Dagger stack for England supporters. After seven rounds, you win with most gold and Scotland has won: If, however, the defeat marker arrives at the skull with bonnet, Scotland has lost and the player with fewest daggers on his dagger cards wins.
