Players are
explorers who want to reconstruct a hieroglyph wall and collect valuable
sarcophagus. The active player puts one of his 3 hieroglyph cards into the wall
and draws a new one from the pile. If by dropping the card into the wall the
player has formed a pair in any direction, the player has made a combination.
Multiple combinations with one card are possible. If the animals in the pair
look into different directions, the player may put an explorer in front of the
corresponding pillar, if there is no other explorer there. If the animals face
the same way, the player may put an explorer and remove another one, if there
is one already in front of the pillar. In both cases a scarab is placed in
front of the pillar. If three scarabs are placed, the player whose explorer is
in front of the pillar, takes a sarcophagus. When all cards are played, players
may move scarabs between pillars where they have explorers. Then the player
wins who has the most valuable total of sarcophagi. The game offers 2 variants.
