To make the first words in english very easy, children play the well-known games of lotto or memory or bingo and use 36 picture cards showing english words belonging to one of 9 groups: Family, animals, body, toys, at home, at school, food+drinks, clothes and seasons. Speaking and hearing in this game are very important so a grown-up who speaks English should be present during play.
