PLAYED FOR YOU

QUIBBLE

A fast game for fast thinkers!

A quiz like many others and yet quite different from all of them! 165 Question cards are marked on their back side with 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10 for the points that you can win with them. Each card shows three questions, corresponding to the button on the timer - blue for 60, yellow for 45 and red for 30 seconds time to give the demanded number of answers, sometimes a card states additional parameters.

In your turn you choose the number of points you want to win, choose a card from the corresponding stack and determine the question by casting a color die. If you give the necessary number of correct answers, you move your marker accordingly on the track. If you not know all answers you may ask your fellow players and can buy missing answers from them for points - you can also negotiate! But all communication, the stating of the answers you bought and - maybe - doubting of answers must be done within the run-time of the timer. When all necessary correct answers were given within the time frame, you move the remaining points and all helpers move for the points you gave away. For one wrong answer or if an answer is not given on time, nobody scores. Whoever reaches 40 first with his marker, wins.

Quibble provides a well-working, cute mechanism using a felicitous, good selection of questions - who can name 6 animals that hatch from eggs and are not fish or birds? Or - for 4 points - can you name 7 terms that describe a time period? Or three actors who played the President of the USA? 4 verbs beginning with "qu"? And can I trust my eager helper who demands three points for two answers? Are they correct?
