The Loire river has always been one of France's most important waterways, the paddle-wheel boats transported passengers and wine past the more than 300 castles on the banks of the Loire. The starting players turns a number of cards face up, if wine or passenger cards turn up, they are put to the departure spot of the boats. A sun cards spoils the wine, it turns into vinegars, the wine cards are taken out of the game. The other cards are dealt to the players, who now have equipment for the journey. At the arrival point passengers and wine are loaded and unloaded, and transport price is paid. The player to first earns 20 Louis d' Or wins the game.
