Crime Scene: Wien 1824

Vienna, 1824: First performance of Beethoven’S 9th symphony and also the founding of the card painting firm that is the foundation stone of today’s Wr. Spielkartenfabrik Ferd. Piatnik & Söhne. On Occasion of the 200 Year Jubilee of the company, this edition of Crime Scene was published, featuring a poison killing at Theater am Wiener Kärntnertor.

You investigate, solve puzzles, discover the story behind the crime and select the – hopefully correct – decision at the end of the game. You use clue cards featuring text or image puzzles, document cards to control solutions and hint cards for assistance, their use costs you one reputation card per hint. Text puzzles continue the story, image puzzle solutions are a number which guides you to a three-number-code which leads you to a target word – object or number – in the story book or on an already revealed clue card. This in turn gives you a slot on the scene picture and thus a new clue card. When all document cards have been played, the letters on remaining reputation cards give you a last hint and you select one of three options for the solution.
