The Magnates: A Game of Power

Simulation of Plish-Lithuanian history. You play maximum four rounds, comprising five phases each. Phases 1 and 5 are automatisms, in phases 2, 3 and 4 you place cards from your hand face down next to cards on display. Depending on the card on display the highest card next to it wins the card or a bonus, when a conflict has been won jointly by a higher total of card values. Lost conflicts remain in place; when a minimum of one lost conflict is lying next to three of the neighboring countries, the game is lost for all. Otherwise you win after four rounds with most wealth from estates and majorities in provinces.
