Spirit Island Ast und Tatze

 

Fight invaders! You are Nature spirits with individual abilities that develop during the game and cooperatively defend the land, together with the native Dahans, represented by huts. Phases of a round are: 1. Spirit phase - Spirits receive energy and abilities, expand and play cards, for instant and delayed effects. 2. Instant spirit cards are resolved. 3. Invaders, driven by revealed cards, explore certain island regions, build villages and cities and rage, thereby eliminating Dahans and damaging the land itself. 4. Delayed spirit cards are resolved. 5. End of round - discard used spirit cards, heal surviving native Dahans and invaders.

The expansion features nine replacement cards for exchanging with those from the core game; and also events that come into play in the invader phase, as well as tiles representing new dangers for the invaders – beasts, wilderness, plague and conflict. Event cards show to alternative negative main events – which one comes into play depends on several parameters, and two possible positive events; some events are selectable events.
