Monster Inn
As a dungeon master, you auction for monsters in the tavern, but must be wary of acquiring humans. Monsters and humans are displayed, sorted by combat values, monsters openly, humans face-down. In each round, you always bid for the currently left-most creature in the display; if you are active, you decide about staying or quitting. If you stay, you add one treasure to those in the middle or take all treasures and lay down 2 more of the other kind that you took. If you quit, you take all treasures and the leftmost creature, humans face-down, monsters face-up, in rows as stated. When the draw pile is used up, the dungeons are scored: Humans with both supported monsters or no monsters above them are removed; then you remove humans whose combat values are lower than those of the monsters above them. Monsters without humans and remaining treasures give you fame, monsters with humans underneath score 0 or penalty points.
