Living Forest Kodama
The sacred tree in the mystic forest is threatened by the flames of Onibi and needs help from the nature spirits of the seasons which are assisted by the forest animals. You have your own forest board and must either plant 12 different trees or put out 12 fires or collect 12 Holy Flowers to wake up Sanki, the guardian of the forest. A round comprises animal phase, action phase and end of round. Actions are taking a magic fragment, attract animals, put out fire, move in the stone circle or plant a tree; actions need elements provided by your personal animal line and the forest, but are not spent. If nobody has achieved one of the victory condition, the action phase is followed by the end of round phase, comprising fending off flames, replenishing flames, replenishing animal stock, discarding animal line and handing on the Sacred Tree.
The expansion introduces Kodamas – small light creatures - for support against Onibi, components for their integration and an action to summon them, and also new animals, new trees, special bonuses, and a solo game mode.
