Landmarks
Treasure huntress Montana Bones and her team search for jewels on an island, based on a map. One player as Montana Bones guards the map in the camp and provides clues for the team that are coded to protect against Laron Croft. Montana draws a card from the chosen level of difficulty, three terms on it are the starting clue that begin the expedition. In each round, Montana gives a clue, adhering to exact specifications for allowed words, on a tile of the water reserve; then the clue is interpreted by the team – without Montana – and the clue is placed on the map; then, Montana names what was discovered by the placement and resolves the effect – find gem, replenish water, trap, curse, amulet for protection against curses, or discovering base camp. When this results in the expedition arriving at treasure slots and returning to base camp, the game is won. If the expedition returns without gems, has been cursed, or is out of water, the game is lost. In the competitive mode, the winner is one of two teams – Montana or Laron – that finds four gems without having been cursed.
