Three case files comprise 27 cards each, representing witness statements and pieces of evidence. The cards of the selected case are laid out in a given formation. The case file asks four investigation questions. The game begins in the bottom row of the grid, players choose a statement or a piece of evidence, always only an accessible card, that is a card whose bottom right hand corner is not covered. The card is read and displayed openly. When three cards are open, you must set aside one face-down to reveal another card. You must not take notes! When all decide together that they are able to answer minimum three of the four questions, they can read the final file and have solved the case, when three answers are correct. The more cards are still face-down in the grid the better the team has worked.
