Players are at the same time traders and messengers of the newly set-up Postal service. You buy commodities in villages and try to sell them in the towns; the Messenger moves in the opposite direction and collects messages which he delivers elsewhere. In villages you can acquire farms, monasteries or castles to improve the villages or you build a palace in town, both for advantages, and win with victory points from character cards, ships on the river and deliveries of messages.
