Gladiator fights in a trick-taking game. In four turns, you place bets at the start of a round - on tricks won, card colors in the winning trick, on the last trick, on the taking of highest cards or of the failure of an opponent in winning a bet. In the tricking phase you follow color suit, if possible, or play any card. The highest card played in the color led wins the trick. Then, bets are scored. You win, if you have minimum 3 coins or your marker reaches case 9 on the sequence counter. Or you win with most coins at the end of the fifth rounds, if none of the other conditions are met.
