Te Kuiti
Sheep on the run, the shepherd wants to pen them in. 25 tiles are laid out in a 5x5 grid to form the pasture; one player is the shepherd managing the fences, the other represents the sheep. The Shepherd begins the game - in his turns he places two fences anywhere between tiles or at the edge. A completely fenced-in tile scores a point for the shepherd. The Sheep player turns up tiles until he has found two sheep - if they are identical, he takes them and scores one point per sheep; if not, he turns them back over.
Ram and shepherd tile go out of play and their action is resolved; fenced-in tiles cannot be turned up. Of only maximum five tiles are not fenced-in, revealed sheep stay open-faced. If the shepherd is out of fences or all tiles are revealed, both player count their points and switch roles. After the second game you win with most points. Includes a solo version.
