Full baskets of mushrooms

Five kinds of mushrooms are growing on the meadow in the forest and are collected by a band of gatherers, that is, all players.

There are double-sided mushroom cards and 26 action cards, four mushroom cards are displayed – the face-down side of the cards is considered to be the backside. You are dealt three action cards from the stack. In your turn you play an action card or a special card or swap action cards. If you play an action card you use its action – add a mushroom card to the display, add two mushroom cards to the display, turn over one mushroom card in the display or turn over two mushroom cards in the display.

Then you take all mushrooms of the kind depicted on your action card from the display and put them – collected side up – into your basket, that is, set them aside.

With the special card Pilzparty you take all cards for any type of mushroom from the display. With the special card Klauen you take one type of mushroom from another player’s basket. For the option of swapping action cards you discard any number of your action cards and draw new ones from the stack.

When at the end of your action option there are fewer than four mushrooms in the display, you replenish the display to four mushrooms, backside up! When the last mushroom card is put into the display, you add up the values of your mushrooms and win with most points. As a variety you can do a scoring by majorities in types of mushrooms.

Plays quickly, features luck and memo – a nice family game, especially with children who easily beat you in remembering mushroom types. This little game should be in any family game collection.
