Intrigues at court, you try to position your characters and to acquire influence tokens, but remember, the more tokens are not taken at the end the more valuable are the ones that you took. In each of four chapters you play four rounds. In a chapter, you are dealt and draft two characters with light and two with dark backsides and play one card per round; cards you play are stacked open-faced on the table. Some characters can eliminate other characters, in this case this character and all characters beneath it are out of play. After four rounds, non-eliminated characters in your stack give you influence tokens.
