PLAYED FOR YOU

Machi Koro

Urabn development using dice

Roll your city - the title is a summary of the game. You are an entrepreneur and develop your own city. At the start of the game each player has two starting companies face-up in the status “built” and four big projects as “under construction”, face-down, in his display. 15 types of companies are available. You roll, at first one die, later, when you have built your Train Station project you can decide whether to roll one or two dice. The result activates companies with this identification number for all players, if they have them in their display; activated companies bring you income, usually from the bank, but also from other players, and for each card of this type. Then you can build a new company and pay the amount of coins stated on the card. You can build each company several times in your display but purple companies can only be built once per type. If you finish a big project you turn the card over and can now use the advantage that this project provides - use one or two dice, earn double income from companies, have a second turn if you roll a double, or use the same number of dice in your second turn. If you manage to be first to complete all four of your big projects, you win.

Machi Koro - Roll your City - that-‚s what it is -planning might be nice, but in the end the dice decide. Of course there is a basic strategy - you try to secure companies quickly that earn you money even if you are not the active player, and you can at least decide what you want to build with the money you have at your disposal. Despite the dominant dice Machi Koro is a nice and attractive game for newcomers or casual players.
