Karak Regent
Adventure in the dungeon, an underground labyrinth under Castle Karak. Monsters guard treasures; if you win skirmishes, you receive new equipment and keys to open treasure chests. When the dragon guarding the labyrinth has been defeated, you win with most treasures. Heroes have special abilities; a a turn you have four steps for maximum four labyrinth tiles. A turn comprises movement into unknown territory, skirmish against monsters and, if there was no skirmish, movement in known territory. Combat strength of a hero = dice result plus equipment + spell(s).
The Expansion introduces a new character, “Lord of Karak”, plus four new heroes, new monsters – Bat and Ice Mage – and spells – Thorn of Darkness and Frost Fist – as well as Battle Arenas and Cursed Chambers representing the chambers of Lord Karak plus other rooms. When a Battle Arena is turned up, you must select another player to fight; after that combat, the Battle Arena reverts to a normal room. The expansions features the variant “The Lord of Karak”
