Followers of You-know-who want to take over magical places; players are Harry, Hermione, Ron or Neville and defend those locations. Basic principle of card use are those of generic deck-building. Cards for Game 1 are prepared. Steps of a turn: Reveal and resolve Dark-Arts cards; resolve abilities of villains, play Hogwarts cards for resources and effects, place attack marks with villains. Buy cards with influence. End of turn with control of location, control of villain for defeat and necessary card manipulations. When all villains are defeated, you have won and can start Game 2; if not, you must play Game 1 again.
Die Monsterbox comprises four boxes with an individual rule for each box - Harry, Ron, Hermione and Neville, together with the new character Luna Lovegood, master adventures and conflic in the Forbidden Forest.
