Death Valley
You document a trip across Death Valley; you have on row of card for the journey and one for your album on display; one open desert card and the top face-down card of the draw pile represent the desert. The active player selects travel or rest – for travel you select a card from the desert for placement in your travel row. For rest, you move a card from travel to album row; you can store additional cards under that card and may also shuffle any number of cards from your travel row back into the draw pile. Cards have permanent effects for multiple use or a point value for end-of-game scoring. Effects can replace an action or be used in addition to an action. With three identical danger icons in your display, you must abort your journey: you discard the end-card with that symbol and shuffle the other journey cards back into the draw pile. When only one card is left for the desert, you score visible cards in your display for stars in the travel row and for points.
