PLAYED FOR YOU
Bucket King 3D
Missing animals, falling Pails
Wishes do become reality, even if takes nearly a decade. In 2005 our reviewer of “Alles im Eimer” did wish for small plastic pails instead of card board markers. And voilà, here they are in this new edition of the game! Those pails in five colors correspond to the colors of cards for five kinds of animals. Those cards are shuffled, each player is dealt 10 cards and gets - depending on the number of players - two or three pails of each color. You assess your hand of cards and stack the pails accordingly into a pyramid. Then you play in rounds. The starting player of the round determines the direction of play and players 1-3 cards of the same animal onto the table. The following players must always top the total value of animals of this color and then draw a card. If you cannot top the total value or do not want to, you must remove one pail of this color from your pyramid, using only one finger. All pails supported by this pail, fall too, and should any other players tumble, well, too bad! All fallen or otherwise affected pails are removed from the pyramid adhering to strict rules, and you start a new round. When - again depending on the number of players - one or two players have lost all their pails you win if you have most pails left in your pyramid. Variants for experienced players and younger players.
Still one of the most ingenious games that I know, fast, simple and with a beautiful irritation factor, because the most clever stacking of pails is of no use when you draw rubbish or your predecessor hassles you with 18 dogs. A bit naughty, a bit aggravating and all in all fantastic family entertainment.
