PLAYED FOR YOU

Los Incognitos

Alien iacta est

Alien iacta est - well, the aliens did not fall, they maybe slid underneath the table while having fun on Earth. We must find them by rolling dice, mark them with a cosmic contact spray and send them home.

You choose a scenario - Apocalyptic Space Station, Highlander's Castle, Arabian Nights or Roman Holidays, whereby the rules recommend to play the scenarios in sequence due to increasing levels of difficulty in the scenarios - and roll six dice. For each roll you must resolve at least one action, maybe even more than once, and set aside dice that were used. Possible actions are interim storage, movement, marking of monsters or exploring a location. Interim storage is possible for a maximum of two dice and you cannot store Red Giant and Time Vortex symbols. To move you either extend on of your routes or start a new one, you need dice symbols of Moonboot for land paths or Jetpack for air travel, and you need a Locator. When you have reached a Monster spot or a Vessel spot, you can mark monsters by rolling dice. To explore a location you need symbols again, the abilities of locations vary with the scenarios. Some symbols in a roll can block actions for which you might have symbols! At the end of your turn you mark the result in your log. When all log book entries have been done, the longest track is scored and you win with most points.

If you think you have seen this somewhere, you probably remember the prequel game of Expedition Sumatra Dadu Dadu. Los Incognitos is an adaptation, game play and mechanisms are identical and therefore as good and interesting; however, topic and mechanism suited each other better in the first version.
