17 Diciassette

Diciassette is Italian for 17, and this number should not be reached or topped. You have three cards – values between 1 and 5, some of them are double-sided – and, in your turn, play one of them openly or face-down into the row. If you believe that there are 17 or more points in the row, you call  “Diciassette!“. If you are correct, you get a victory point and the player who placed the last card gets a penalty point. If you were wrong, points are handed out the other way round. If you have two penalty points, you discard them together with one of your victory points. Special effect cards are triggered when played openly – change of direction, removal of the last card placed, place 2 cards – for the next player – or trap card for additional victory and penalty points. If you are first to collect three victory points, you win.
