Descent 2^nd Edition is based on the 1^st edition. The character and combat system has been revised and you can play epic campaigns or individual adventures. New features are defense dies, simplified rules for line of sight and a new mechanism for the Overlord minions and options to develop a hero and make him more experienced. The goals of heroes against the Overlord are always different and you win as a group. The Trollfens introduce new rules for Secret Rooms and Rumors and and includes the adventures Geisterstadt, Wurmfraß, Drei Köpfe, ein Gedanke, Quell der Krankheit and Ausbreitung der Pest.
