After Call of Cthulhu and a Game of Thrones The Lord of the Rings is the fourtj Living Card Game, a game in a system that claims to be not a trading card game. Players are a company of heroes encountering and surviving adventures in Middle Earth. The game is a cooperative game for 1 or 2 players, with a second set up to four can play. The Core Set features 226 cards, which can be used immediately in four starter decks for an introductory game. This is amended by scenarios abd by 84 Encounter cards which you can pit yourself against. As is the case for all Living Card games Adventure Packs will be published, offering supplements for the game. The cards used are hero cards, player cards, encounter cards and adventure cards. If at least one player survives until the last part of the adventure deck has been dealt with, the players have won together.
