Frank’s Zoo
Cards show an animal and also the animal that can beat it, for instance, elephants beat lions. Cards are distributed and you try to be first to shed your hand. You play one or several cards of the same animal, the next player must beat or pass; you either beat with more cards of the same animal or with the same number of cards of the animal that beats the animal on the table. If it is your turn again and all have passed, you take the trick and lead. If only one player has cards in hand, the round ends and you score in order of going out = being out of cards. There are special rules for chameleons and mosquitoes. In the team version you swap cards at the start, the junior player of a team can ask for help in beating from the senior player. Teams are formed according to results of the previous rounds.
