CARCASSONNE
In their move players place landscape tiles,
thereby constructing a network of cities, roads, meadows and monasteries. Each
player controls 7 men, that can be placed to collect
points as knights or robbers, farmers or monks on the tiles. Men in a city are
more valuable than in a village, but a knight only collects points for a
finished city. Sometimes it is better to take men back and relocate them to
earn more points. The only drawback is that one has always too few men to use
them to full advantage. Game of the Year 2001.
