Players try to collect the biggest booty and try to break into safes. But only if you secure your booty in time you can keep it. One or more booty cards are stacked under the safe cards. You roll the die for a safe color, the bag allows you a choice of safe. Now you guess if the number on the card you turn up from the stack will be higher or lower than the top card underneath the safe. If you are correct you receive the booty cards under the safe, if not, you lose all your un-secured booty cards. The turned-up card goes underneath the safe in both cases. Instead of rolling and guessing you can secure booty cards by placing them into your booty bag. When all booty cards are given out the player with most cards wins.
