The cat is out and the mice amuse themselves with a
race, the player to be the first to get four mice home is the winner of the
game. In his move a player takes the wooden ring representing the mouse hole
and holds it vertically and sets it to tumble. While it tumbles all players try
to snip one of their mice under the ring. When the ring has stopped all mice within
the ring or under the ring’s rim are considered to be home and are put in the
box. Each mouse may only be snipped once in a move and only with one hand, the
tumbling mouse hole may not be touched.
