RECOGNIZE RHYTHMS
Boom Pat-a-bang, Chief of the tribe of American Indians, has called an assembly of his tribe - he is hard of hearing and does not understand the drummed messages from other tribes anymore and thus needs a rhythm reader for those drum messages. A Shaman card and one Drum card for each image are laid out, the symbol tracks = rhythms should be oriented towards the Shaman card in the middle of the circle. The remaining shaman and drum cards are shuffled and stacked face-down.
Placers are Chief in turn; the active Chief draws a card for himself and drums the corresponding rhythm as a mix of a hit on the drum for the drum symbol and a light touch against his own forehead for the Chief Head symbol on the rhythm track. Whoever believes that he has recognized the rhythm drummed by the chief hits the corresponding card with his Swatting Hand. You have only one try and cannot change your mind. The card drawn by the Chief is checked - the first player to hit the correct card receives the card. When the Shaman card rhythm was drummed the slowest player and also each player hitting a wrong card must discard a card, if they have one already. Four different FEX versions increase the level of difficulty and the educational effect - for instance, using the Skunk card causes switching the symbols for hitting the drum and touching your forehead or the card in the middle is handed out for a reward and the card drawn by the active chief is placed in the circle.
A fun way of learning - listen closely, pay close attention, drum exactly and in an even beat - a very well-working and fun mixture. Howgh, the Chief has spoken!
