Rancho

Super Farmer

Rancho is the sequel to Super Farmer, a game that was created in Poland in 1943! Players are farmers and want to breed their herds; dogs protect the herds from wolf and fox; in Rancho on top of that farmers must provide enough pasture areas to support the herds. Each farmer starts with a sheep and a rabbit at one farm area of his choice. In your turn you can first enlarge your farm and then multiply your animals. To enlarge you can buy pasture and trade animals for other animals in any order of your choice. To breed you roll the die and can breed each variety you rolled; you add the die value to the animals you already own and take one animal from stock for each pair. For wolf or fox you roll again for the threatened pastures; dogs protect pastures, but are then discarded and must be bought again. If you are first to own a herd of at least one horse, one cow, one sheep and one rabbit, you win.
