Monumental Edition

You develop a civilization from a settlement into a mighty empire. In a game of the 4X Genre – explore, expand, exploit and exterminate – you play rounds of three turns for each player. In each turn you have three action in any order, multiple actions of one kind are possible – Advance, Found City, Activate City, Move Units, Civic Improvement, Cultural Influence. After player turns the round ends with the Status Phase, in which you check for completed objectives, receive a free Advance, draw cards, maybe raze a city, and determine starting player. After six rounds or when a player does not own a city in the status phase, you win with most victory points from cities, advance, wonders, objectives, and VPs from event cards.

The Monumental edition is a new edition with new art and reworked mechanisms, it also features the expansion and the promo-nation Aztecs.
