PLAYED FOR YOU
Robin
JOin the Merry Men
You have joined Robin and his Merry Men in Sherwood Forest and help at the camp site, rob travelers on their way to Nottingham Castle, carry messages from Robin and scout the neighborhood for information. You want to become Robin’s lieutenant, but to achieve this you must be first to complete seven missions of the same kind and also hide on time in the woods from the minions of the Sherriff. There are six kinds of missions - find food, steal animals, steal treasures, steal weapons, spy on locations and carry messages. Playing pieces are placed on the path in a starting formations, 10 missions are stacked open-faced and each player draws missions which he keeps secret. Each of the seven path cases shows the distance to the castle and how big the risk is that you take.
In your turn you draw mission cards, give or receive contributions to or from the community, trade a card or use a special card. Depending on the marker at your location you draw X cards and then either place cards on the community stack or receive cards from this stack. Then you must offer a card for trade and then you move player pieces in relation to the result of the trade. As an alternative for trading you are allowed to use a special card.
When you have completed seven missions of a kind at the end of your turn - mission pieces on the path count for a card if your own marker is on that case - you win instantly.
A really nice family game that works best with the full complement of players, a little tactic comes from the choice of which pieces to move. Good card memory is helpful in order to prevent other players from getting certain cards.
