Players represent one of fifty alien races, which all have their own special and exclusive ability and uses this to conquer planetary systems and attack other player’s planets. Usual the special abilities enable you to countermand a rule of the game. This edition of the game adds tech cards which you can explore in the technology variant of the game. A turn comprises formation, determine destination, departure, alliances, planning, uncovering and resolving the situation.

This third expansion introduces 20 new races, components for an additional player and the variant Team Cosmic, in which players form teams of two members. Partners can form alliances with different sides of a conflict in which they are not directly involved. If you use all three expansions with the core set you can play with eight now and use the set of 24 Cosmic Cards marked for large groups that are included in this expansion.
