Exam time in civilization design – you are a local god of a civilization and are task with developing it successfully, using cultural or technical progress as well as biological evolution adaptations. Each era comprises eight phases: #1-#3 are preparation phases, #4 is the main phase and phases #5-#8 are post-action phases. In Phase 1 you get new cards, in Phase 2 new targets and Phase 3 gives you an extra find in an area with your own tribe in it. Phase 4 is the action phase, comprising action rounds with one turn per civilization; you either activate a module using two activation dice from dice slots or do a reset. Module options are 15 main modules, 6 feature modules and 1 sleep module. Phase 5 is the Site phase with resolving types of discovered sites. Phase 6 comprises feeding tribes and scoring of strong tribes. Phase 7 is the event phase featuring weather and resolving event as well as scoring the category of the current era and determining of the starting civilization for the next round. Phase 8 is the income phase with income, scoring of statues, removing of hunting tokens and reset. After four eras you score progress on the tracks for Technology, Prestige, Knowledge, Construction and Culture  and the categories of Evolution, Prosperity, Population and Expansion, and you win with most points.
