Sensu

Folding fans are a Japanese tradition, made from wood for use in dance and theatre, made from metal used as weapons by Samurai warriors. The game features cards in three colors, three times each of values 1 to 9 and showing fan segments of 1 to 4 sticks, as well as 3 wild cards, cards for closed fans and summary cards. You try to collect cards of a total value of 20 and play them to redeem cards from this combination for use in assembling your personal fan. In your turn you can draw a card from the draw pile or your personal discard pile and then discard a card to your pile, or play a combination. From a combination, you redeem the card with most sticks and, if applicable, up to two bonus cards. A fan of 10 sticks is complete and is closed. If you are first to have assembled two fans of different colors, you win. In variants, you use special abilities of fan colors or draw a card at the start, which must be included in the first completed fan.
