The basic rules of Steam & Age of Steam apply; core games are necessary for playing

Sharing: 3-6 players. All track can be used by all; you can invite other players to co-own a link and receive 45 if you have 2 shares in Age of Steam or 10 income in Steam; the new co-owner pays share/income. For deliveries on co-owned links the deliverer decides who receives the income. Engineering allows you to share up to two links in the building phase, in addition to building four track.

Really Friendly Sharing: 2-10 players. At the start, cubes are placed by all together, you play without money and without auctions; track building is decided jointly and in each round you can build as many tracks as you want for free. Only Urbanize is available as action, deliveries are possible into each city, you can cross any city, even several times, and you can ignore the locomotive limitation of 6-links. Each player makes one delivery for the team which can decide on the target.
