Ted Alspach's Amazon Rainforest & Sahara Desert
Age of Steam & Steam Expansion
Two maps, no components, rules in English
The basic rules of Steam & Age of Steam apply; core games are necessary for playing
Amazon Rainforest: 3-6 players. Wood changes its price in relation to supply. Only 12 cubes per color are used, four random ones per city, the rest goes to the wood price section on the board. You build up to four track, price $5. Deliveries have the value of the first free slot in this color, the cube is then placed on the slot. Engineering reduces building costs to $4. There is no Urbanization Action. Move First turns into Move Last. Production/City Growth removes cubes from column/color at your discretion with distribution to cities, one per city.
Sahara Desert: 3-5 players. One ble cube per oasis = blue city. Track costs $3; you take the cube from oasis you built over. For Urbanization you must connect track to the oasis edge. Deliveries demand a blue cube or payment of 4$ water usage fee. Water Import action allows delivery without blue cube or water usage fee.
