Schnattergei

Cards show one of seven images in one of four colors; you begin with 25 cards in your own face-down draw pile. In turn, you put a card from your pile on the discard pile and name the image that corresponds to the color of the card you placed; if the Schnattergei - regardless of its color - appears, you must repeat what your predecessor mentioned. If the same image appears twice in a row, you go for double and earn the discard pile for your draw pile if you are first to hit the discard pile. If you make a mistake, you put two cards from your pile under the discard pile. If you are out of cards and do not win the discard pile in the next double, the game ends with the next mistake or the next double won by someone else, and you win with most cards. Two variants are provided.
