60 cards are divided into 12 cards in five colors each; each color represents one element of the Five Element Philosophy. As fits the name of the game – path – you choose in your turn either the sure path of taking one card from the display, that is three cards at the beginning. Or you draw a card and add it to the display. When this card raises the total value of the display over 12, you take all cards in the display, but only if the new card does not have the same value as the card next to it. Cards you take are placed face-down, you may look at them. When the draw pile is empty you sort your cards by color, score one card for points and deduct one point each for every other of your cards.
